The Massacre is a powerful and emotionally charged dance theatre production that honors the lives lost during the 2012 Marikana massacre. Through a compelling fusion of contemporary, African, and protest dance styles, the performance confronts critical social issues—workers' rights, systemic injustice, and police brutality—while amplifying the voices of those affected.

This production weaves together South Africa's rich cultural heritage with personal testimonies and multimedia storytelling to create an immersive, thought-provoking experience.
Traditional music, haunting soundscapes, and evocative visual projections bring to life the human stories behind the headlines, connecting audiences to the raw emotion and lasting impact of the tragedy.

Driven by empathy, resilience, and justice, Marikana: The Massacre not only commemorates the victims and survivors but also calls for collective reflection and action.
