Fall in love with flavour at the foot of Table Mountain. We’re pouring FIVE incredible wines from the iconic Van Loveren Vineyards and pairing them with FOUR soul-warming courses—just in time for Cape Town’s cosiest season.
The evening kicks off as you settle in with a glass of Van Loveren’s fruity Chardonnay Pinot Noir Sparkling Brut. Then, the first course lands, served with their Daydream Chardonnay Pinot Noir: fresh, floral and soft around the edges, enjoyed with stuffed dates with bacon, almond and blue cheese.
Next up, the crisp, salty Calcrete Chardonnay (retailing at R115 a bottle) meets a spicy lentil soup or gooey baked camembert. And just when you think it can’t get any better, along comes the Vine-By-Pole Pinot Noir (with six awards under its belt)—cherry, spice and silky red fruit beautifully complementing slow-cooked lamb shank or creamy Lagusta linguine.
To end? A sweet finish with freshly baked cheesecake or warm malva pudding, served with vanilla ice cream and a glass of their interesting Gewürztraminer. Think rose petals, apricot and the kind of finish that lingers long after the last bite…
