21,1km - 05:00 - Start: Pietermaritzburg City Hall
10km - 06:00 - Start: Balmoral Road close to the finish (Msunduzi Athletics Stadium.
5KM - 06:30 - Start: Princess Margaret Road opposite the gate of Harry Gwala Stadium.
Race finish for all distances: Msunduzi Athletics Stadium

Marathon participants who have not passed the half marathon turn in by 3 hours 15 minutes (9:15) wont be allowed to continue but may complete the half marathon until the 4 hours time limit.
