Mozart’s Requiem

Cape Town Opera and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual Easter collaboration is back with a performance of Mozart’s evergreen Requiem in the historic Toringkerk in Paarl.

The mass – a tribute to the departed – reveals Mozart’s compositional mastery in full force, with soaring arias, powerful orchestration, and ethereal choruses. Featuring Cape Town Opera Soloists, Judith Neilson Young Artists, the Cape Town Opera Chorus, The Symphony Choir of Cape Town and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of principal guest conductor Bernhard Gueller, this performance will be a highlight of the Easter weekend. The soloists are Siphamandla Moyake (soprano), Julia Portela Piñón (alto), Mongezi Mosoaka (tenor) and Lonwabo Mose(bass)
