State of the National Disaster is a play about South Africans waiting on the President to deliver the state of the nation address that unfolds as a comedic disaster. A one hander told through physical comedy, miming, clowning, sounds and text. It is inspired by Jerzy Grotowski's towards poor theatre, Peter Brook's empty space and Gibson Kente's protest.
