My Country South Africa is a celebration of our National Symbols and heritage.
A person’s national identity comes from their sense of belonging to a country, being proud of its history, cultures, languages, landscapes and traditions. The most famous, and vivid, description of South African identity was expressed in Thabo Mbeki’s speech as Deputy President at the time of the adoption of the new Constitution of South Africa on 8 May 1996.
