Wonders of Rock Art

At the Wonders of Rock Art: Lascaux Cave and Africa exhibition, you will enter a labyrinth of caves that transport you back to a time when our Stone Age ancestors in Europe created magnificent rock art that would stand the test of time … Then you’ll cross over into ancient Southern Africa, where the San hunter-gatherers crafted images of the spirit-beasts whose totemic powers they would summon in their trance-dances.

Exhibits take visitors on an extraordinary journey of discovery, which begins with the origins of humankind in Africa. It then moves through the development of art, symbolism and technology on the continent. The journey then continues, showing the diverse southern African rock art at Sci-Bono Discovery Centre.

Tickets must be used as per the time slot for Wonders of Rock Art exhibit but tickets for the origin centre must be used during the same day.
