Vula Concert

Vula Concert

About

Vula Concert is an annual celebration of African youth, culture, and activism, created by Kazimla NiOmbi. Held each year on June 16, in remembrance of the 1976 Soweto Uprising, the concert brings together communities, leaders, and artists to honor the legacy of youth-led resistance and social change. With a powerful focus on youth empowerment, the event combines music, spoken word, performances, and speeches from activists and elders, creating a platform for the next generation to share their voice. Through the Vula Concert, we aim to inspire pride, unity, and action in building a better, self-reliant Africa.
