Vukona Worship Explo was founded in 2017 by Cyrus Mabasa and Thembisile Dlamini, who met while serving on a worship team. The group, originally known as Vukona Events and Sound Hire, aims to provide opportunities for musicians to develop their talents and to address social issues through music. Currently, Vukona Worship Explo has 44 members, mostly from Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Gauteng. They offer a platform for musicians to grow into recorded artists and actively combat issues like crime and substance abuse by engaging youth in their choir.
