Elana officially retired from racing in January 2005 but one thing remains certain: she will continue to live life to the fullest. In 2014 Elana joined the team with Francois Pienaar and Janet Welham to relaunch the Cape Town Marathon with the vision of building the event into a Marathon Major for Africa.
