Mthwakazi promotes a hybridised style of music which is a crossover between Xhosa Indigenous Bow and Opera music.
Their repertoire is firmly entrenched in African Dance rhythms. It spans across the African Call and Response, Polyphonic and Harmonic structures, as much as it delves deep within the winding, dynamic and Operatic melodies.

The music awakens the forgotten times of great healing and it deeply explores African cultural heritage. It powerfully promotes the use of languages indigenous to Southern Africa. The music carries a strong emphasis on Spirituality, Humanity, Humility, Peace, Optimism, Co-existence, and Progress. The music represents unity amongst Africans.
