Joburg Ballet will begin its 2016 performance season with Giselle, widely acknowledged as one of the most beautiful classical ballets ever created, from 8 – 17 April at Joburg Theatre, joining many companies worldwide in marking the ballet’s 175th anniversary.

A moving story of a young girl who dies of a broken heart, the title role is regarded as one of the ultimate measures of a ballerina’s greatness.
